Youth set 2011 mission to Detroit

We're excited to announce that the 2011 SEPA Synod Youth Servant Trip will be...

  • July 1-10, 2011 in Detroit, Michigan

We're going to Detroit for many reasons.  Especially after the economic downturn, Detroit is a city that is struggling.  We hope to be a part of the bringing of hope to the city and its people.  Detroit is a part of the Southeast Michigan (SEMI) Synod.  Our SEPA Synod and the SEMI Synod are partner synods in the ELCA.  We hope this trip will be the first of many opportunities to build relationships with the youth of SEMI.

Registration information will be available in the next two weeks. Estimated cost is $550 per person.  The trip is open to youth in grades 9-12 and their adult leader and the trip is limited to the first 80 registrants.

  • The dates for synodical youth ministry events for next school year is now available! Download it at www.sepayouth.org!
  • Plans are well under way for our 2010 Junior Youth Gatherings (JYG) happening October 15 & 16 or 16 & 17 at Refreshing Mountain Camp.  JYG is for 6th-8th grades and their adult leaders. Our theme is "I Am the Example" and preliminary registration information is available online at www.sepayouth.org. Online registration opens August 1.
