What is the Bible Really About?
Last May, synod assembly voting members and visitors enjoyed the Bible presentations by Dr. Rolf Jacobson, Associate Professor of Old Testament at Luther Theological Seminary. Dr. Jacobson is returning to SEPA and will be providing a one-day series of seminars on Saturday, March 26 at Reformation Church, Media.
Dr. Jacobson describes the day-long event this way:
“In the recent book, A New Kind of Christianity: Ten Questions that are Transforming the Faith, Brian McLaren's first question is ‘What is the over-arching story line of the Bible?’ In a four-session seminar, I will lead participants in exploring this and other basic questions about the Bible. In short, we will be asking, ‘What is the Bible Really About Anyway?’”
The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is open to all participants. Register by March 15 and pay only $25. Registration after March 15 and at the door is $30. Students under the age of 18 can register for $10. Childcare is available at a modest additional cost. The cost includes lunch and snack breaks. Checks are made payable to Reformation Lutheran Church.
The church is located at 102 W. Rose Tree Road (at the corner of Rte 252) in Media, only 1.5 miles off I-476. For more information or to download registration material, go to www.relcmedia.org or call 610-891-0600.
