At New Hanover Lutheran Church, the oldest German-Lutheran church in the U.S., even Vacation Bible School is steeped in 300 years of tradition. But that didn't keep the 2009 version from having the largest registration ever...more than 90 chidren and 60 youth/adult volunteers...with one-third of the attenders coming from outside the church community.
