Train as a Fisher's Net Trainer Oct. 31

SEPA Synod is looking for 50 computer and internet savvy individuals within the synod to attend this free instructional event on the uses and applications of The Fisher's Net.
The Fisher's Net delivers theological learning opportunities. It's more than cataloging resources and promoting events. The Fisher's Net helps all members of our church share knowledge that resides in life's work.
The Fisher’s Net will provide our synod with opportunities to use the popular online learning management system known as Blackboard.com. as an aid in facilitating project and group work by enhancing communication.
Upon completing this workshop, participants will be able to:
- register and access online resources through The Fisher's Net
- create online "bookshelves" of resources and instructional material
- use the popular online learning management system known as Blackboard.com
- assist and educate future users to access and navigate The Fisher's Net
Requirements/Prerequisites:
- Participants should possess and be comfortable with basic web knowledge, commands and skills i.e, accessing web resources and uploading and downloading information and files, prior to coming
- Participants should not only be willing to learn basics of The Fisher's Net for themselves but also should be willing to assist in the future training of others.
- Participants will need to be in attendance for the entire length of workshop.
- Participants are asked to bring their laptop computers if they have one. A wireless internet connection will be available. (This is optional and not a requirement.)
