At Bishop Burkat’s recent series of fall gatherings with congregational leaders across our synod, the bishop urged church leaders to be on the lookout for what God’s hand is doing in their communities. As part of the gathering leaders shared their own observations of what God is up to, how they and their congregations are joining God in mission, and what they can share to help others participate.

The best of these mission stories are being compiled on a new Synod website, GodIsDoingSomethingNew.com. You can visit this new site to read congregations stories of how they are aligning with the movement of God’s Spirit inside and outside their walls. The site is organized according to out Synod’s four strategic directions: Faith Formation, Faith in Action, Connecting and Communicating, and Equipping Leaders, along with quotes, resources and links provided as Inspiration for your mission. Each entry has the name and congregation of the submitter so you can contact them for more information. Or ask questions by posting a comment and we will try to get you answers.
