Share your faith story on video
The 2010 Assembly will focus on the ways that God’s story revealed in scripture inspires and supports our faith. Your story is important, too, and we want to share it. Throughout the Assembly we will show a number of short testimonies from lay people around the Synod sharing how the Bible has formed their faith, driven them to action, connected them with others, or equipped them as disciples.
It’s easy for you to share your “Scripture Moment.” We’re looking for your testimony about how the Bible has
- shaped your faith
- moved you to become active in service to others
- connected you with people from other backgrounds or cultures or
- equipped you as a disciple and church leader
Videos can be as creative as you are. (Hint: This is a great way to get your video-savvy teens and young adults involved.) An individual, a family, or a ministry team could share their story. You can have people just talk to the camera, or include photos, video or music that illustrates your point.
Here’s how to participate:
- Identify someone (maybe you?) who has a great story to share.
- Create a video, 2 minutes or less, that shares the scripture and how it has impacted your faith and life.
- Put the video on a DVD and submit it to Bob Fisher at the Synod office by April 15, 2010.
