Share the Light through 2011 Christmas Ingathering

Update: Congregations may still sign up to provide Christmas gifts for children served by Lutheran Children and Family Service.

Please consider shining your light to children in need in our area by adding LCFS foster children to your gift list this year! For many of these children, the gifts donated by congregations through the Ingathering are the only Christmas gifts they may receive.

Deadline for all donation commitments is extended to November 15.

For 44 years, congregations of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod have revealed the light of God’s love shown to us in Christ by providing for people in need, locally and globally, with a variety of holiday gifts. Last year, 62 SEPA congregations donated more than $100,000 in goods and funds through the Christmas Ingathering managed by Liberty Lutheran.  You’re invited to participate in this outpouring of God’s love by participating in the 2011 Ingathering on Sunday, December 4.

It’s easy to participate and see how our congregational donations will multiply as we work together to serve people in need. There are five simple steps:

  • Choose which kind of donation your congregation will give
  • Let us know using the Commitment Form by October 31, 2011. Deadline for commitments for all donations except LCFS gifts is extended to October 31.
  • Invite people in your congregation to give
  • Collect donations in your community
  • Deliver donations to a collection point on Sunday, Dec. 4

Five congregations serve as collection points on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.  All donations should be delivered between those hours to one of these locations:
