Lutheran Day at the Capitol May 17

Update: There's still time to register!
Lutheran Day at the Capitol 2011 will focus on hunger in Pennsylvania and strategies for
Lutheran congregations, synods and leaders to address it through direct action and advocacy.
The keynote speaker is David Beckmann, President of Bread for the World and 2010 World Food Prize laureate. He is an economist, a Lutheran pastor and one of the foremost U.S. advocates for hungry people in the United States and worldwide. Beckmann is also president of Bread for the World Institute, the organization's research and education arm, which works on agriculture, trade policy, and other hunger-related issues.
Workshops will offer opportunities to learn more about hunger in the Commonwealth, best practices for addressing hunger in congregations and synods, resources for preaching and teaching about hunger and training for advocacy on current hunger issues.
Event details, workshop listing and registration information will be sent out in early February and will be available on the LAMPa website.
