Human Trafficking Awarness Day January 11

Sunday, January 11, 2009, is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, a day committed to raising awareness of this horrific and increasing crime.  The ELCA Justice for Women program is encouraging congregations to join together in raising awareness and fostering action.

Please consider using this bulletin insert from the National Council of Churches on that Sunday.  Also available for use is the hymn, "People Held In Bondage" (If you plan to use this hymn, please contact the composer at the information provided on the hymn.)

More resources on commercial sexual exploitation can be found on the Justice for Women website.
