Connect faith to action at M2EP
Join the movement to cut poverty in half at the upcoming Mobilization to End Poverty (M2EP) event, April 26-29 in Washington D.C. ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson will be a featured speaker along with Jim Wallis, Tavis Smiley, Alexia Kelly and many others. ELCA members receive a special reduced group rate of $199 until April 24. That is a $50 savings, but you must register at a special web link to receive the discount.
ELCA members in need of financial assistance to attend the Mobilization are invited to submit a scholarship application. To receive the application, please go to the ELCA Advocacy website, or call Jackie Maddox at 202.626.7944.
The Mobilization is an opportunity for you to connect your faith values to discipleship and action! Learn more about social issues through educational workshops, motivational speakers, and lobby day training. The Mobilization will also be a gathering of the Church, rooted in prayer and worship each day. Ecumenical services will bring us together in the Spirit to equip us to speak and act on behalf of our brothers and sisters.
On lobby day you can visit your members of Congress with other faith-based advocates from across the United States to discuss the abundance of our world and how it can be allocated in a way that is fair and just.
Please contact Jodi Deike, ELCA Director for Grassroots Advocacy and Communication at 202.626.7947 or for any questions you may have regarding the Mobilization event.
