Activist Sara Miles on Following Jesus
On Saturday, July 23, from 9:30 to 2:00, Trinity Episcopal Church in Buckingham will host a Saint Mary Magdalene Day Celebration with guest speaker will be Sara Miles. Sara is the author of “Take This Bread” and “Jesus Freak”.
She is a member of Saint Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco and runs their food pantry. She came to faith through service to the poor and will share her story with us.
Everyone is welcome to this day which celebrates the memory of Mary Magdalene, “the apostle to the apostles.” A donation of $20 is asked in order to defray the costs and scholarships will be available to those who could use some assistance. Lunch will be served.
