AALA Lists MLK Weekend Activities

The Rev. Dr. M. Wyvetta Bullock will be the guest speaker and preacher at Martin Luther King weekend activities sponsored by the Philadelphia chapter of the African American Lutheran Association. On Saturday, Jan. 15, Dr. Bullock will discuss recent developments in the ELCA and future directions at a "Chat and Chew" Roundtable from 9:30 am to noon. A full meal will be provided. On Sunday, Jan. 16, Dr. Bullock will preach at the Synod's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service at 3:45 pm. A lunch of soup, salad, dessert and drink precedes the service from 2 to 3:15 pm.
Both events will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 7240 Walnut Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Dr. Bullock, a long-time churchwide leader, serves as executive for administration in the ELCA Office of the Presiding Bishop.
